The Audit Associate role is a strong opportunity for audit professionals who want to develop their technical expertise across external audit engagements. This role involves supporting audit planning, fieldwork, documentation and client communication while working closely with experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
Assist in planning and executing external audit engagements for clients
Perform audit fieldwork, including testing financial transactions and account balances
Prepare and review audit working papers and supporting documentation
Evaluate internal controls and risk management processes to identify audit findings, discrepancies and areas for improvement
Ensure audit work complies with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS and MFRS, as well as relevant audit standards
Liaise with clients to obtain required documents and clarify audit queries
Support the preparation of audit reports, financial statements and management letters while meeting audit timelines and deliverables
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
2 to 3 years of audit experience in a commercial setting, audit environment or accounting firm
Professional qualifications or certifications such as ACCA or MIA would be an added advantage
Good understanding of audit processes, working papers and financial documentation
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines and audit deliverables
Good communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with clients
