Our client is a newly established manufacturing company in Malaysia, they specialize in custom automation machines in assembling high precision components for global industries including semiconductor electronics, automotive and industrial application.
Due to business expansion and increasing project complexity, they are now looking for a key leadership role Plant Director to lead end to end factory operations and drive operational excellence. This role needs to take full ownership of the manufacturing plant, overseeing production, engineering, quality and supply chain functions.

Job Responsibilities: -
- Lead overall plant operations including Production, Engineering, QA/QC, Maintenance and Supply Chain
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with business growth
- Set KPIs and ensure achievement of production targets quality standards and delivery timelines
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce cost
- Optimize production processes, layout and workflow
- Oversee execution of custom automation machine projects from build to delivery
- Ensure close coordination between engineering, production and project teams
- Lead, coach and develop department heads and key managers
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and result
- Ensure compliance with ISO standards, regulatory requirements and safety policies
- Manage plan budget, cost control and resource allocation
- Monitor operational costs and implement cost saving initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing environment
- At least 5-8 years in senior leadership role (Plant Manager / Operation Head / Director Level)
- Strong exposure in: Automation equipment / Machinery / Precision Engineering / Project Based Manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning and engineering integration
- Hands on experience in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen
- Familiar with machine assembly / automation systems (highly preferred)
- Experience managing cross functional teams (Production + Engineering + QA)
- English proficiency and Mandarin Preferred to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholder and regional teams
