A global leader in polymer‑based product solutions, serving industries such as medical technology, telecommunications, automotive, and consumer electronics, is seeking a Converting Process Engineer to develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct feasibility assessments and validate new product processes to ensure technical and cost viability.
Develop, review, and maintain process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
Verify tooling drawings and process parameters to ensure compliance with design and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during new product trials, implementing effective corrective actions.
Evaluate test results, provide structured feedback, and drive continuous process improvement across cross‑functional teams.
Lead the development of new processes, with a strong focus on die‑cut assembly and screen‑printing applications.
Key Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering; experience in die‑cutting or screen printing is an added advantage.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.
Familiar with process analysis and problem‑solving tools such as Fishbone Diagram and 5‑Why Analysis.
Hands‑on, proactive, and strong in analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills; proficiency in English is required, with Malay and Mandarin as an advantage.
