A leading global semiconductor company is seeking a Staff Product Operations Engineer to drive operational excellence in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing. This role is responsible for ensuring product quality, yield improvement, cost efficiency, and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including Test Engineering, Assembly, Quality, internal factories, and OSAT partners—to resolve production issues, optimize performance, and support product qualification and continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Drive yield enhancement initiatives through data analysis, root cause identification, and corrective actions
Review and disposition low-yield production lots and lead structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D, RCA)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient issue resolution and smooth production flow
Execute day-to-day sustaining activities, including:
Lot rejection rate improvement
EQA hold rate reduction
SYL / SBL sustaining and optimization
Support product qualification and validation, including tester platform migrations and engineering changes
Lead initiatives to improve gross margin (yield, cost reduction, efficiency)
Ensure product performance meets quality, reliability, and manufacturability requirements
Support system-level integration and issue resolution where required
Key Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field
7+ years of experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing
Preferably in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, or Test Product EngineeringStrong understanding of:
Semiconductor test methodology (analog/digital/power products)
Yield analysis and manufacturing processesFailure analysis and reliability testing
Proficiency in data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.)
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Solid project management and problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with power modules or module devices
Familiarity with ATE platforms (Teradyne ETS, Advantest)
Programming knowledge (e.g., Visual Basic, C++)
Experience working with OSATs and global manufacturing environments
