A global leader in advanced material solutions for the semiconductor and electronics industries is seeking an R&D Technical Support Engineer to join its team in Malaysia. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of research, product development, customer engagement, and manufacturing, contributing directly to the successful development and commercialization of new products.
Key Responsibilities
Visit customers to understand technical requirements and gather market intelligence.
Develop and fine-tune products to meet customer specifications and application needs.
Prepare product samples for customer evaluation and qualification activities.
Provide technical support and collaborate closely with customers to resolve product-related issues.
Plan and execute product trials in preparation for mass production.
Work closely with Manufacturing teams to ensure successful new product launches.
Support product transfer activities from development to production.
Participate in internal and external quality audits, including IATF 16949 requirements.
Collaborate with regional R&D and cross-functional teams on product development initiatives.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates as required.
Perform additional assignments as directed by management.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related engineering discipline.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with experience in the semiconductor, electronics, chemical, or advanced materials industries will have an added advantage.
Strong interest in research, product development, and technical problem-solving.
Comfortable engaging with customers and conducting technical discussions.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Positive attitude and willingness to travel for customer visits when required.
