A Singapore‑based software innovation company, established in 2010, specializing in SECS/GEM connectivity and automation solutions for legacy equipment and tools used in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries, is seeking a quota‑carrying Account Executive to drive new business revenue in Malaysia.
The company works with global equipment manufacturers and semiconductor fabs to enable smart factory integration and automation, helping customers modernize legacy tools and improve manufacturing efficiency.
This is a hands‑on B2B sales role suited for a hunter who thrives on opening new accounts, managing complex sales cycles, and engaging directly with both engineers and decision‑makers across the semiconductor ecosystem in Malaysia.
You will be responsible for conducting product demonstrations, including setting up demo environments and executing sample programs. While you are not required to fix software issues or write code, you must be technically confident and comfortable demonstrating the product independently.
Key Responsibilities
Own and deliver new business revenue quota
Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities through prospecting, outbound activities, referrals, site visits, and industry events
Manage the full sales cycle: discovery → demo → proposal/quotation → negotiation → close
Conduct product demonstrations for engineers and decision‑makers (set up demo environment, run sample programs, clearly articulate value)
Build strong relationships with semiconductor fabs, OSATs, and equipment OEMs across Penang and Malaysia
Collaborate with internal teams on POC planning, technical validation, and customer onboarding handover
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline updates, and sales forecasts
Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to support product positioning and strategy
Key Requirements
3–8+ years of B2B sales experience (software, industrial software, or automation solutions preferred)
Proven track record of hunting and closing new customers with measurable sales targets
Ability to run product demos independently, including installation, setup, and presentation
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Experience selling into the semiconductor manufacturing environment (fab / OSAT / equipment OEM) is a strong advantage
Willingness to travel within Malaysia; occasional travel to Singapore
