A global leader in interconnect and connectivity solutions across the communications, mobile, RF, optics, data center, and commercial electronics markets is seeking a motivated and technically capable Technical Sales Engineer / Technical Account Manager to join its growing team in Penang. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive at the intersection of engineering and customer engagement, supporting key EMS/ODM customers while driving design‑in activities and commercial growth. You will work closely with internal business units to deliver competitive, value‑driven interconnect solutions to customers.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands‑on technical and commercial support to assigned customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and long‑term relationship development.

  • Drive and support design‑in and product specification activities at EMS/ODM customers.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned accounts to achieve sales targets.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, product management, and manufacturing) to align customer requirements with technical roadmaps and solutions.

  • Act as the technical voice of the customer, gathering requirements and translating them into internal actions.

  • Manage day‑to‑day account activities and coordinate timely resolution of customer issues with internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.

  • Coordinate with regional and global account teams to ensure consistent account strategy execution.
     

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline.

  • 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or account management, ideally within Semiconductor, interconnects, electronic components, or EMS‑related industries.

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand product specifications and engage in solution‑based selling.

  • Excellent communication skills with strong English verbal and written proficiency.

  • Self‑driven, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility across multiple levels within customer organizations.
