JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for functional oversight of the safe design, installation, maintenance, refurbishment, removal, and emergency response of our customer gas supply equipment. This may include Vessels, Vapourisers, Piping, accessories and Application equipment.
  • Responsible for working with the Sales team to deliver country C&MES objectives with a focus of safety, efficiency and compliance to local regulations.
  • Instils the importance of safety in every staff and achieve zero accident in area of responsibility, and be the visible leader in driving the safety culture in the division
  • Plan, organise, implement and control the activities of the operations in the Customer & Medical Engineering Services (C&MES) in line with the company’s established set values, goals and objectives, safety and quality policies and standards
  • Plan, promote and lead the productivity improvement programs in the customer & medical engineering services activities
  • Promote, lead and coordinate the effective implementation of environmental program and ensure the 100% buy in and compliance from every staff in C&MES
  • Support implementation and compliance of Quality, Safety and values of the company
  • Ensure effective implementation of the division’s annual plan
  • Aspire to achieve best practice performance in areas of customer technical service, safety, quality, technology and innovation so as to create a competitive advantage in these areas
  • Develop technical core competencies that will ensure use of competitive advantage
  • Ensure the optimisation of the current facilities capacities and timely installation of needed facilities at the customer sites
  • Ensure the reliability and availability of the facilities available to meet highest customer satisfaction
  • Asset Management: procurement of C&MES related equipment with Supply Management and C&MES asset acquisition and disposal
  • Manage C&MES Operating Costs. Analyse C&MES costs to budget to maintain a cost effective C&MES operation
  • Ensure that all the capital expenditures are budgeted within every fiscal year as required
  • Ensure compliance of all facilities to nation as well as logical legislative and requirements
  • Provide an environment where every employee is willing to contribute to the success of the company and commits and practices the set of values of the company and ensure utmost satisfaction of the customers’ needs and expectations.
  • Training and development of high potential staff to have an effective succession plan
  • Ensure access to the technology of the company and its dissemination and application internally
  • Win new contract or jobs by providing technical support to the Bulk, PG&P, Electronics, Healthcare sales representative for C&MES saleable projects
  • Collaborate with SHEQ personnel in order to address, administer, and implement related safety agenda in terms of project management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors/ Masters in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in managerial position in the fields of operation and maintenance of chemical, industrial gases or manufacturing set up.
  • Experienced in a related industrial environment preferably to include experience of safety management, customer service, and engineering.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Understanding of the systems and processes.
