  • Implement and ensure compliance to safe operating standards and procedure such as OMP and DEL chapters (LiMMS/LIDAP) in order to achieve zero injuries and incindets/accidents.
  • Engagement with drivers through joint activities such as Pre-Departure Check (PDC) or Lead safe in order to demonstrate greater visible leadership
  • Constantly acquiring knowledge / skills via LiMSS/LIDAP or any other tools available; and ensure that chapters assigned are completed in agreeable time frame.
  • Support regional best operating practice at the local level, ensuring local understanding of those standards and practices to get buy in.
  • Actively influences, motivates, coaches and counsels contractors/Drivers to ensure they clearly understand their specific roles in overall delivery of the PSO and how their functions are related to other functions in operation group, as well as other business units
  • Consistently review/ develop transport operational strategies to ensure the business delivers the product service offering (PSO) in full and on time
  • Priorities and implement productivity and key distribution KPIs improvement in all area of responsibility of transport operations
  • Ensure local transport operations team achieve their targets within the budget; initiative / review cost improvement program on deliver operations in order to align and achieve company financial objective.
  • Carry out adequate risk assessment for all transport operations activities, as well as assets
  • Carry out plan to ensure all activities meet the safety, quality and environmental standards and national legislation requirement
  • Contractor & contract management.
  • Implementation of cost improvement program. Identifying, prioritizing and implementing cost improvement in all areas of delivery operation.
  • Implementation of financial plan. Provides input to Business Manager in setting/identifying annual budget and ensure delivery team achieve targets within budget.
  • Hold regular meetings with other platform both local and region to ensure KPI deliverables achievements, safety performance etc.
  • Ensure implementations of the corrective actions from audits/assessment, Root Cause Analysis, Alert & Directives
  • Participate and collaborate with Operational team on site stock count event.
  • Any other assignment or task which may be assigned by immediate superior
  • Plan & manage imported products stock levels (sourced from other plants & external vendors) to optimize stocks and turnaround times for North
  • Ensure safety stock levels are met for all plants and sales centre in North.
  • Work with National Inventory Planner to manage Surplus/Deficits vs MRS and identify when cylinder injections are needed
  • Work with national distribution schedulers & local transport operations to ensure sufficient distribution resources for interplant stock replenishment
  • Plan & manage Prai & Ipoh plant support to other plants in the event of their planned & unplanned outages
    Work with Product managers and Customer service centre (CCC) to conduct stock rationing & allocation during supply shortage situations
  • Proactive & timely communication to all stakeholders


  • Preferably Degree and above
  • 2 years and above experience in logistic field and people management
  • Possess wide range of skills and experience in Transport Operations
  • People management and leadership capabilities
  • Operational capability: good grasp of and ability to apply transport operations management, supply chain planning concepts and techniques
  • Experience in a safety role
  • Change management capabilities
  • Capability development (including coaching and mentoring)
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical skill
