A leading provider of advanced semiconductor and test solutions supports customers across regional and global markets with high‑performance equipment and technical expertise is hiring for Field Application Engineer. The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is responsible for delivering on‑site technical support, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and customer training. This role requires extensive travel (approximately 90%) to customer sites domestically and internationally. The FAE plays a critical role in ensuring equipment performance, customer satisfaction, and achievement of quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands‑on, on‑site technical support for equipment and process‑related issues at customer locations.

  • Perform equipment installation, setup, commissioning, and buy‑off.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, delivering timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.

  • Conduct maintenance, operation, and application training for customer personnel.

  • Provide technical advice and recommendations to improve quality, productivity, and overall system performance.

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal engineering or support teams.

  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports related to issues, resolutions, and field activities.

  • Support customers throughout the full lifecycle — before, during, and after installation — to ensure successful deployment and ongoing operation.
     

Key Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Basic knowledge of PC operations and relevant software tools.
    Strong hands‑on troubleshooting capability with a customer‑focused mindset.

  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Self‑motivated, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in English and Malay; Mandarin proficiency is required for effective communication with headquarters and overseas technical teams.

  • Experience in field service, applications engineering, or customer‑facing technical roles is an advantage.

  • Fresh graduates and candidates from related technical disciplines are encouraged to apply.

  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 90%), including domestic and international assignments
