Requirement:

  • Liaise with the R&D engineers and contract manufacturers (CMs) to introduce new designs into mass production.
  • The NPI process includes qualification and compliance of the new design to internal design specifications and industry and regulatory standards
  • Participate in the design review and validation processes of new products.
  • Plan for design and development of the appropriate jigs, fixtures and test systems in production line together with the CMs and R&D teams.
  • Work with the CMs, Quality and R&D teams to ensure that proper Quality Control Plans, Flow Plans, Work Instructions, PFMEA, Cpk, SPC and other regulatory certifications are completed for the implementation of the new product design.
  • Prepare and complete the NPI checklist.
  • Drive the production management for operators training.
  • Test adequate NPI samples for verification and validation.
  • Launch the new design to mass production.
  • Ability to document the entire process is a “Must”.
  • Product release through New Product Introduction (NPI) protocols.
  • Understanding of mechanical designs and mass production.
  • Support R&D, quality engineering, CMs for routine applications and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of bill of materials (BOMs).
  • Managing using manufacturing engineering principles and techniques.
  • Interaction with customers on all aspects of product designs and applications

Requirement:

  • Require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 5 to 10 years of experience in the field.
  • The position will report to the R&D Manager and will be located in the Penang office.
  • The candidate must be thorough in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • A strong written and verbal communication skill in English and ability to communicate with external and internal teams is a “Must”.
  • High focus on company’s goals and objectives.
  • Strong people’s skills to be able to work as a team member and contribute towards the growth of a healthy work environment
  • Ability to present creative solutions and work independently.
  • Deliver high quality work under tight schedules and deadline
