JOB DESCRIPTION

  • The role’s primary functions are OCTG Demand Planning and Service/Product Delivery to meet Customer’s long and short term sourcing and individual well/project requirement as well as building Customer Relationship
  • Single focal point for Customer (Drilling, Completion, QA/QC, SME etc.)
  • Obtain individual well design and drilling schedule from Customer
  • Coordinate with Customer to review Customer owned inventory and confirm the forecast demand
  • Conduct quarterly forecast meetings with Customer’s engineers to confirm long term planning requirements.
  • Discuss deviations from original forecast with Customer’s engineers
  • Develop Customer trust with regard to technical knowledge, product performance and inventory utilization.
  • Obtain market and competition outlook and intelligence
  • Assist Business Development Manager in budget preparation and review
  • Identify overall OCTG short and long term requirements and opportunities and coordinate sourcing/positioning strategy with Business Development Manager
  • Analyse forecast demand, on-hand, and on-order inventory
  • Liaise with Site Coordinator and Inventory Controller to determine allocations of specific material requirements for each well
  • Identify and recommend utilization of surplus inventory
  • Regularly update Site Coordinator with drilling schedule status to proactively plan onshore preparation

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Familiar with OCTG basic design, technical specifications and descriptions
  • Candidate should understand and be able to perform sales related transactions including but not limited to forecast
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skill
  • Knowledge of Oracle and SAP will be an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of inventory management processes and general oilfield operations
  • Basic procurement process from order placement through return of material
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, material specifications, and bills of material

JOB REQUIREMENT 

  • Candidate should have strong bachelor degree in Engineering or related fields with a minimum of 2 years of experience in oil and gas drilling operations support, or alternatively 5 plus years of experience in oil and gas drilling operations support with specific focus on OCTG and related accessories.
