JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Compliance - with local/national laws & legislations as well as relevant international standards
  • Report all QHSSE incidents as per incident reporting procedure in a timely manner
  • Assist in closure of all product related QHSSE related issues in a timely manner, as required
  • Lead, supervise and ensure regular Forecast and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Meetings with Customers (both short and long term requirement)
  • Conduct analysis between demand forecast, latest inventory and mill capacity
  • Process the customer order and source the materials through internal network
  • Communicate with Customers for the short term forecast and upcoming well demand, allocate the inventory based on FIFO and customer inventory first
  • Assist in development of contract performance KPI’s
  • Assist Business Development Department in meeting overall Sales performance against the contract requirements and management of the relationship with PETRONAS and Operators
  • Meet budget and project financial performance
  • Ensuring internal application relating to responsibilities adheres to Regulation and Rules
  • Manage, supervise and appraise Tubular Advisors
  • Provide mentorship and training to subordinate for further development
  • Evaluate team competencies and develop technical expertise. Prepare training program for team growth and development

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Technical point of contact for usage planning and post usage customer enquiries
  • Actively promote technically equivalent substitutions based on existing inventory usage, supply constraints and other considerations
  • Continuously gain and share knowledge related to product specifications, product usage, industry trends, regional requirements, and local drilling practices
  • Identify overall OCTG requirements and coordinate sourcing strategy with the Management, Business Development Manager, Operations Manager and Tubular Advisor
  • Analyse forecast demand, on-hand, and on-order inventory
  • Ensure forecast is updated with specific well requirements
  • Liaise with Operations Manager and Inventory Controller to determine allocations of specific material requirements for each well
  • Identify and recommend utilization of surplus inventory
  • Regularly update drilling schedule status to proactively plan onshore preparation
  • Discuss deviations from original forecast with drilling engineers.
  • Manage the technical specification with Customer and develop opportunities within Malaysia
  • Identify potential surplus and recommend substitution to Operator’s engineers and support drilling engineers to maximize the standardization of string design

JOB REQUIREMENT: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Petroleum, Oil & Gas or related fields
  • Experience in oil & gas field in particular relating to tubulars
