A company in the food ingredients (oleochemical) and process manufacturing industry is hiring for a Quality Management Manager position. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional to lead a well-established quality function, drive compliance initiatives, strengthen laboratory governance, and support continuous improvement across operations. The role offers a high level of responsibility in managing quality systems, audits, regulatory compliance, and product quality assurance within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and develop the Quality Management team through effective manpower planning, competency development, performance management, and succession planning.
Oversee and continuously improve quality management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, Halal, Kosher, RSPO, FSSC 22000, and other applicable standards.
Manage laboratory operations by establishing work standards, promoting good laboratory practices, and ensuring reliable testing activities.
Drive cross-functional collaboration to resolve quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and reduce recurrence of non-conformances.
Review and approve quality control results, product testing outcomes, inspections, and product release decisions to ensure compliance with specifications.
Lead internal, external, and customer audits, ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of audit findings.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality performance, laboratory efficiency, operational reliability, and overall system effectiveness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Applied Science, or a related discipline.
5-10 years of department-level leadership experience in quality field in food / oleochemical industry.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality control, laboratory testing, audit management, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
Experience managing quality teams, including supervisors, executives, officers, analysts, and technicians.
Strong leadership capabilities with a structured, disciplined, and quality-focused approach.
