JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Be an integral part in shaping the pioneering, agile, and exciting APAC Communications team at KL SSC (‘Hub’)
Manage Business Unit (BU) marketing communication activities for Japan, as a key account manager. This position carries the responsibility for planning, coordinating, and implementing marketing communication strategies and programs in cooperation with relevant Local Business Managers (LBM), marketing/sales leaders, and Regional Business Unit (RBU)
Provide advice and support on all marketing communications matters as a strategic business partner
Collaborate with senior communications colleague on-ground in Japan and other teams in the hub, to ensure service quality to stakeholders
Develop and implement marketing communications strategies to support the relevant local BUs
Understand the strategy/needs of the relevant business unit and ensure consistency in messages in all communication activities
Provide consultation and/or implement marketing communication activities including trade show, media activities (interview/news release), online promotion, website updating, customer events/seminars (virtual/face-to-face), advertisement, brochure production, and brand alliance
As a key account manager, support LBM, marketing/sales leaders and RBU communicators by advising and supporting on all marketing communications matters, as a strategic business partner
Support in country internal/external communications and crisis communications
Provide appropriate information from the relevant business units to be developed in country internal/external communications
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, marketing, business management, or related fields
Significant demonstrated success in communications in a multicultural corporate environment. Generalist communicators will be preferred.
Minimum experience of 6-8 years
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once
Ability to work with various stakeholders and create proactive partnerships
Eagerness to upskill and learn about latest trends in communications
Excellent command of Japanese and English in spoken and written form
Working knowledge of Japanese markets
Attention to detail, creative and results orientated
Excellent working knowledge of basic computer programs
