The Sales Representative/Manager role is an opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to grow business within the polymers and engineering plastic segment. This role focuses on developing customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities and converting sales pipelines into sustainable revenue.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve business growth and revenue targets
Build, maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and potential customers
Identify new business opportunities and convert sales pipelines into actual revenue
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, customer demands and pricing movements
Provide technical and commercial support to customers regarding engineering plastic products and applications
Prepare sales forecasts, customer reports and performance analysis for management review
Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement, logistics and technical support, to ensure customer satisfaction and timely payment collection
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Business or a related field is preferred, although relevant industry experience may also be considered
Minimum 5 to 8 years of proven sales experience in the plastics or polymer industry
Experience in engineering plastics, polymer raw materials, or industrial and technical materials sales
Strong understanding of plastic resin applications, market trends, competitor analysis, pricing strategies and customer requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or equivalent
Strong sales, negotiation, communication, interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills
Self-motivated, target-oriented and capable of working independently in a remote environment
Proficiency in English is required, while additional languages would be an added advantage
