A US based equipment manufacturing company is looking for Senior Buyer as part of their expansion plan in Penang, Malaysia.
Responsibilities
Manage direct and indirect procurement activities for assigned suppliers and commodities.
Handle the full purchase order lifecycle, including order placement, expediting, rescheduling, cancellations, and invoice resolution.
Coordinate ECR/ECO implementation and manage material returns per MRB procedures.
Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
Proactively resolve supply chain issues and support sourcing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate procurement data and ensure process compliance.
Requirements
Experience managing outsourced manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, and component suppliers, including supplier performance management and commercial negotiations.
Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly MM (Materials Management) and PM (Plant Maintenance) modules
Ability and willingness to travel locally and within Asia to support supplier development and business requirements.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred.
Minimum of 6 years' purchasing or procurement experience within the semiconductor equipment manufacturing industry or a high-technology environment.
