The Senior CNC Programmer/Machining Engineer role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machining professional to support precision tooling and CNC programming activities. This role focuses on toolroom machine planning, CNC programme development, machining optimisation and technical support for production-related improvements.
Responsibilities
Plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly work for toolroom machines
Supervise machine technicians and monitor their daily tasks
Develop CNC programmes for milling, turning and multi-axis machining
Create wire-cut EDM programmes for precision tooling
Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
Improve machining programmes to increase efficiency and reduce cycle time
Support troubleshooting activities and work with teams to resolve machining issues
Requirements
Diploma or Professional Certificate such as SKM in Engineering, CNC, Tools and Dies or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in toolroom machine operations and CNC programming, preferably using NX application
Experience in first-off validation, tooling setup and CNC programme optimisation
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
Good supervisory skills with the ability to guide machine technicians and monitor daily work progress
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to support machining troubleshooting and process improvement
