A leading global semiconductor organization specializing in analog and mixed-signal solutions is seeking a Senior Staff Product Engineer to drive the development and lifecycle management of advanced semiconductor products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally from product conception through high-volume production, ensuring excellence in quality, reliability, and performance. The position plays a critical role in defining test strategies, leading qualification activities, and driving yield and cost improvements while supporting global customers and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own full product engineering lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring delivery of high-quality, reliable products to customers.

  • Lead product qualification planning and execution in compliance with JEDEC and AEC standards.

  • Define and develop test plans to ensure datasheet specifications and performance requirements are met.

  • Collaborate with Design, Test, Applications, and Failure Analysis teams during first silicon debug and issue resolution.

  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including silicon validation, characterization, and production ramp.

  • Perform temperature, voltage, and process characterization and define production test limits.

  • Monitor production yield and quality performance, using statistical analysis to identify trends and drive improvements.

  • Manage product BOM creation, release, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Lead excursion management for both internal suppliers and external customers, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in yield, test efficiency, and gross margin performance.

  • Define and optimize test guard-banding and control limits (PAT, SYL, SBL, SPC) to balance quality and cost.

  • Provide real-time technical support to customers for product performance, quality, and reliability issues.

  • Track and deliver key KPIs including NPI cycle time, yield performance, quality metrics, and failure analysis turnaround time.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, ideally within analog and mixed-signal environments.

  • Strong knowledge of analog/mixed-signal circuits, device physics, test methodologies, and Design-for-Test (DfT).

  • Hands-on experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne (J750) and/or Advantest (93K).

  • Familiarity with JEDEC and AEC qualification standards, including reliability testing and stress conditions.

  • Experience in silicon characterization, yield analysis, and production ramp support.

  • Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools such as JMP, Spotfire, or equivalent.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, including root cause analysis and failure investigation.

  • Experience handling customer escalations and supplier quality issues.

  • Knowledge of semiconductor failure analysis techniques is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working in global, cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong ownership and accountability mindset.
