JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the legal, governance and compliance department within the company.
- Develop and execute the organization's legal, governance and compliance framework to align with the overall business objectives.
- Draft, advise and review agreements including but not limited to services agreements, marketing agreements, tenancy agreements, license agreements, disclose agreements etc.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures to manage legal and regulatory risks effectively.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards for the organization's operations.
- Provide legal advices on the company's business activities.
- Provide preliminary legal advices on all potential disputes or complaints.
- Develop, execute and enforce policies in relation to governance and compliance.
- Maintaining the Company's contract registry and ensuring compliance with the contracts management framework.
- Manage litigious or dispute cases which includes providing legal advice on customer related complaints, drafting and/or reviewing statement of tribunal claims or law suits and liaising with eternal solicitors if necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years post-qualified in-house experience in a legal practice with reputable law firm. Experience in Corporate/ Commercial practice is mandatory.
- Experience in corporate and commercial laws, compliance and contract management.
- Possess good research skills and knowledge of laws and legislations applicable to the Group's business including but not limited to the Company Contracts Act 1950, Hire Purchase Act 1967 and etc.
- Experience in automotive industry will be an added advantage.
