Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing payroll operations in the country. Your role involves collaborating with the global team to design and implement payroll solutions.
- Lead the Malaysia payroll team in managing the entire spectrum of payroll operations and vendor relationships.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll in compliance with Malaysia's labor regulations and the company's wage rules.
- Develop and maintain operational procedures to govern and support payroll operations.
- Define and review metrics to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the services provided.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory compliances, internal/external controls, and SOX controls.
- Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and business stakeholders to deploy and maintain global programs in the region.
- Establish strategic partnerships with vendors to ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of services.
- Manage, develop, strategize, and continuously improve payroll operational activities.
- Develop internal and external communications for payroll-related matters.
- Support internal, external, and government audits.
- Enhance team performance to align with global strategic objectives.
- Support all aspects of performance management and development for the payroll team.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Human Resource Management, Tax & Accounting.
- Minimum 5-8 years of payroll experience with a supervisory role of at least 3-5 years.
- Solid understanding of local labor and taxation laws.
- Experience in payroll transformation projects and implementation.
- Preferred experience with Workday, SAP Payroll, and ServiceNow.
