Job Description is as below : -
• Responsible for completion of the assigned installation, repairs of marine communication and navigation equipment efficiently and successful.
• Assists service management in preparation of replies to the technical queries of customer [internal & external] and principals.
• Train service engineers on the job (field training).
• To act on field bulletins, updates provided by the principal.
• Site survey & estimation, preparation of BOM & assistance to Service & Navigation / Communication for preparing SLD, quotes to the customers.
• Installation, testing & commissioning of equipment sold by Elcome as well as our principals.
• Providing service support to entire range of products as and when required
• Take approval from ship manager/attending superintendent for the price of spares to be used.
• On completion of installation & commission jobs prepares as fitted drawing for the customer & Service department for further processing
• Prepare Service Report after job attendance and submit same to Technical Manager.
• Sites visit with the Electronic Engineers & Technicians for projects.
• Monitor stock level for critical & fast-moving items & coordinate with Logistics department for reorder for continual improvement of first-time fix ratio.
• Report any product performance issues, spare part & test equipment inventory.
• Remote assistance to the Customers, Service team and branches on fault finding / diagnostics for satisfactory completion of service calls.
• Make estimates, plan labour and material requirements for multiple repairs, new projects.
• Confirm warranty claims and obtain installation/ previous service history records for supporting warranty status during service calls.
QHSE Responsibilities:
• Assist in internal audits, if required, to ensure compliance to QHSE requirements including objectives by their teams.
• Participate in the safety risk assessments.
• Participate in the investigation and analysis of incidents as and when required.
• Take part in the training program to dissipate QHSE knowledge and impart this training to colleagues as and when required.
• Selection and availability of applicable PPE's at all time and ensuring the strict use of PPE's in work area of responsibility.
• To contribute, meet and improve upon the KPI targets as set towards overall achievement Quality and HSE objectives.

Qualification
Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
Min 4 years in marine based industry
