  • Support all sourcing management across the commercial and consumer (CCS) division within Malaysia.
  • Develop strong links with Global Category team(s) to act as an ambassador of Sourcing, confident and capable of talking about any element of the function, and able to represent the function when engaging with any Procurement or Business stakeholders.
  • Develops long term strategic plans for the entire spend category within CCS Division Sourcing Malaysia.
  • Manages supplier relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business needs and that the supply base can support these strategies.
  • Oversees implementation of category plan to ensure the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans.
  • Strong internal customer service orientation with a focus on establishing and maintaining a strong customer service culture. Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and demands, to sell benefits to stakeholders and build and maintain stakeholder confidence, trust, and satisfaction.
  • Communicates naturally with senior management with a strong ability to focus on issues critical to senior leaders.
  • Oversees implementation of category and subcategory plan to ensure that the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans.
  • Actively contribute to the structure, style, and delivery of the wider CCS Sourcing function, as well as develop strong links with Division Category team(s).
  • Works with relevant Division Category Lead(s) to ensure a fully integrated and customer-aligned category plan.
  • Advises on and drives sourcing strategies to make decisions necessary to purchase products and services in congruence with organizational objectives.
  • Drives the preparation of competitive bids, quotations and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions.
  • Coordinates the introduction of new innovative goods and services with appropriate business units.
  • Analyses and resolve issues raised in procurement audit reports; ensures future compliance with local policies.
  • Advises on contracts and agreements for the supply of goods and services with new and existing suppliers.
  • Develops, evaluates, or manages internal and external relationships with suppliers, Category Teams, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of co-leading a category team, establishing, and communicating strategic direction, providing business context, coaching and direction to enable the team to meet its performance targets.
  • Capable of challenging the status quo not only through negotiation, but also through innovation and demand management.
  • Driving communication activities and dashboard reporting for senior leadership.
  • Establish synchronization with Division procurement to ensure best alignment and synergy effects.
  • Constantly driving organization`s capability improvement by implementing and monitoring training, methodologies, and sourcing strategies.
  • Develops close connectivity and visibility to key stakeholders with the ability to drive strategic conversations and steer meetings towards the decision-making phase.


  • 20 years applicable procurement experience and at least 10 years in managerial position.
  • Fluent in English conversation.
  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree (such as in engineering, MBA, CPP) a plus.
  • Experience in electrical connectors related industries is a definite plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership / management and business partnership skills.
  • Strong communication, cross functional collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Results-oriented with an exceptional track record driving procurement's value proposition.
  • Highly customer focused and concerned with meeting and/or exceeding stakeholder expectations.
  • Supplier Relationship Management and Development experience.
  • Strong understanding of their category`s market environment.
  • Ability to leverage a range of influencing techniques.
  • Proven ability to manage change.
  • Strong analytical and with some financial skills.
  • Ability to work in highly complex and fluid environment.
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, self-driven.
