We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager who is fluent in Korean and well‑versed in both Malaysia and Korea tax regulations. This role is responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with cross‑border tax requirements, and supporting the company’s financial strategy in alignment with corporate headquarters.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of managing end-to-end finance functions while communicating effectively with stakeholders in Malaysia and Korea.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management & Reporting
    • Lead full-spectrum finance operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing.
    • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and corporate guidelines.
    • Ensure smooth financial communication and reporting to headquarters in Korea.
  • Tax Compliance (Malaysia & Korea)
    • Manage and ensure compliance with Malaysian tax requirements (corporate tax, SST, withholding tax, transfer pricing, etc.).
    • Support and coordinate Korea tax-related matters in collaboration with the Korean HQ finance team.
    • Provide guidance on cross-border tax implications, tax planning, and regulatory changes in both countries.
      Liaise with external tax agents, auditors, and government authorities when needed.
      Financial Control & Governance
      Establish and enforce strong internal controls and financial policies.
    • Oversee annual audits and ensure timely completion of statutory filings.
    • Monitor cash flow, financial risks, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Business Partnering
    • Work closely with the management team to support business decisions with accurate financial insights.
    • Act as the key finance liaison between the Malaysia operations and Korea headquarters.
    • Provide financial analysis for new investments, cost-saving projects, and operational improvements.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and guide the finance team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and continuous development.
    • Drive process improvement and digitalization initiatives across the finance function.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are an added advantage.
  • Fluency in both Korean and English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of finance experience, preferably with exposure to multinational or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian tax regulations and working knowledge of Korean tax principles.
    Experience in cross-border reporting, multinational finance operations, or Korean corporate environments is highly valued.
  • Solid analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills.
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with stakeholders across countries.
