JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Requires a broad knowledge of Manufacturing Practices, Assembly Prints, Bill of Materials to be able to create Manufacturing ready documentation such as S.O.E.’s (Sequence of Events) and Assembly Process Workflow.
Provides technical direction and on-the-job training to production staff.
Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates Manufacturing Engineer portion of the system build.
Prepares and/or modifies work instructions, BOM structures and training curriculum.
Ensures proper interdisciplinary coordination and effective communication on projects.
Requires contact with Customers, vendor’s representatives. Attends and participates in Customer meetings.
Confers with engineers, technicians, customers, and others to discuss best practices in effort to streamline build processes and procedures.
Inspects completed systems; partner with Manufacturing and Quality organizations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Supports project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Investigates customer or internal issues, determine nature and extent of problem, and recommend corrective actions.
Assists in cost estimations and developing of capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
Evaluates and processes Engineering Change Orders.
Performs other duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
15+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment with at least
7+ years in management
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated skills in implementing Continuous Improvement Initiatives, Lean Manufacturing and other quality and process improvement tools.
Proactive self-starter who can lead with a strong ability to drive changes and continuous improvement.
Customer oriented both internally and externally.
Excellent communication skills.
Proven experience in employee development
