Company Overview
A leading organization in the advanced manufacturing industry is seeking a Process Engineer to join its newly established Ceramic Division. This role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production of ceramic products. The Process Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Production, Quality, and R&D—to drive process improvements, resolve technical challenges, and support new product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes for ceramic products.
- Analyze and optimize existing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct time and motion studies to streamline production workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues promptly.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process failures.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure compliance and maintain high product standards.
- Support R&D and product development teams in scaling up new products from prototype to full production.
- Document process parameters and create work instructions for new products.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Apply industry best practices to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
- Collect and analyze process data to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Prepare reports on process performance, including KPIs and production metrics.
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
- Train production staff on new processes and procedures.
- Ensure all processes adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate process-related hazards.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within the ceramics industry.
- Strong understanding of ceramic materials, processing techniques, and manufacturing equipment.
- Proficient in process simulation and data analysis software.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
