Your new company:
This company is a Japanese global player in the office furniture industry. They manufacture and sell office furniture. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur.
Your new role:
- You are responsible to review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements as well as assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
You will play an important role to:
- Review construction plans and prepare quantity requirements.
- Assist in establishing a client’s requirements and undertake feasibility studies.
- Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.
- Setting up structure of quantities take off & BoQ
Check and review the accuracy of BoQ. - Scrutinize maintenance and material costs, as well as contracts to ensure the best deals.
- Liaise with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Be familiar with construction ID fit out material and supplier is an advantage.
- Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessment, and other documents.
- Travel from the office to various sites as required.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Have retail and office interior Fit-out work experiences (min 3 years is preferred).
- Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management, or similar.
- Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Sound knowledge of construction.
- Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD
