Section Manager - Process Engineering

Your new company:

This company is a major player in the repair of aircraft parts, they provide unrivalled cost-efficient repairs with market benchmark quality. They are looking for a Section Manager to join their team.

You will be responsible to:

• Act as Deputy Engineering Manager in various functions such as SFM meetings, Management Meetings, Customer Review, and RFQ review.
• Lead and train a team of engineers, manage work allocation, resolve problems, and participate in recruitment and performance evaluation decisions.
• Develop and implement new repair processes according to plan.
• Continuously improve processes to enhance quality, yield, cycle time, and cost reduction.
• Verify and ensure accuracy of engineering documentation, standardize documents, and comply with approved technical data.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) when necessary.
• Support Production in improving production line effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the technical team to develop and modify tools for process improvement.
• Research new technologies to maintain market leadership.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and sections.
• Evaluate and incorporate changes from revised OEM Manuals into internal work instructions.
• Build professional relationships with shareholders and share knowledge.
• Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for production or technical employees.
  Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety policies.

You are required to have:

• Hold a minimum degree in Aerospace, Material Science, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• Preferably possess at least 8 years of experience in Maintenance Repair and Overhaul in aviation, with leadership experience of minimum 4 years.
• Demonstrate dynamic and tactful personality, maintaining high professionalism, integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Exhibit strong leadership qualities, result-oriented mindset, and exceptional organizational skills.
• Capable of interpreting technical documents, such as Engine Manuals and Standard Practice Manuals, conducting analysis, and offering recommendations.
• Possess good knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, quality management practices, and lean principles.
• Skilled in computer operations, particularly proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
