Process Engineer

Your new company:
An established leading metal provider in Malaysia and a prominent player in the metal fabrication industry. This company has hundreds of manufacturing facilities, and they are committed to delivering quality for industries ranging from automotive, electrical, and engineering.

You will be responsible for:

• Review current manufacturing procedures to pinpoint areas for enhancement, aiming to boost efficiency, minimize waste, and enhance productivity.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to devise new manufacturing methods for semi-finished goods, guaranteeing alignment with quality benchmarks and production requisites.
• Apply methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to foster continual enhancement endeavors across all manufacturing operations.
• Assess equipment requirements, select suitable machinery, and supervise maintenance tasks to uphold peak performance and reduce downtime.
• Foster close collaboration with quality control teams to institute and sustain quality benchmarks throughout the manufacturing workflow, ensuring adherence to regulatory mandates.
• Gather and analyze production data to spot patterns, resolve challenges, and drive data-informed enhancements to streamline processes and enhance product excellence.
• Maintain precise documentation of manufacturing methodologies, encompassing standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and performance metrics. Regularly compile reports to convey progress and spotlight areas for refinement.
• Offer training and technical guidance to production personnel, ensuring comprehension and adherence to established protocols and procedures.

You are required to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related field).
• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a semi-fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software for process monitoring and improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous improvement.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and familiarity with CNC machining processes is a plus.
