A well-established manufacture and supply of specialty polymers, PVC formulations and advanced chemical intermediates is seeking a Technical Service Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate should have a solid technical background, hands-on experience in customer support and troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate with R&D and marketing teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide timely technical service and support to customers, including troubleshooting, product testing, and molding know-how
- Collaborate with R&D and Marketing teams to develop new products and scout new applications in ASEAN and Oceania markets
- Prepare reports, maintain technical service documentation, and communicate customer issues promptly to the Technical Manager
- Ensure compliance by preparing legal and regulatory documents for the products and liaising with Environmental, Safety & Health departments
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of technical service or application engineering experience in the plastics, polymers, or chemical manufacturing industry
- Solid technical background with hands-on experience in customer support and troubleshooting, and the ability to collaborate with R&D and marketing teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel within ASEAN and Oceania regions for customer visits and trials
- Knowledge of environmental, safety, and chemical handling regulations is an advantage
