Our client is an established manufacturing company in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate financial statements and maintain the fixed assets register, including depreciation schedules and reconciliations
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits and respond to audit queries in a timely and professional manner
- Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate tax, transfer pricing, and withholding tax
- Perform accurate tax and deferred tax computations in compliance with the Income Tax Act
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide timely updates and recommendations to management
- Assist in implementing process improvements for financial reporting and tax compliance
- Ensure proper documentation and internal controls related to accounting and taxation
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as needed
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
- Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is strongly preferred
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally within a manufacturing environment - Solid understanding and practical experience with Malaysian Private Entities Reporting Standards (MPERS)
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex financial data
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
