A MNC in the Healthcare Industry is currently looking for an Assistant Area Sales Manager (Central) to mainly manage the General Trade channel.

 

Job Description

  • Manage the overall sales performance for General Trade within assigned areas, ensuring profitability and growth.
  • Overseeing Modern Trade operations with effective deployment of promotion activities.        
  • Develop and execute business plans, including sales strategies, profit goals, and territory analysis to optimize results.

  • Lead and guide sales teams and distributors—monitor KPIs, provide training, and motivate to achieve targets.

  • Implement sales processes, leverage market research, and prioritize key customers to drive distribution and growth.

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to improve product quality, branding, and share insights internally.

  • Enhance brand presence through professional service, brand awareness initiatives, and successful market execution.

 

Job Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma

  • At least 5 years’ experience in the FMCG industry, preferably healthcare industry.

  • Proven track record in developing sales and strong customer relationship management.

  • Knowledge in Distributor Management.

  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, problem solving, leadership and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in English, Malay and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients.

  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, passionate about sales and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
