Key Responsibilities for Assistant Facility Manager
- Ensure compliance with the relevant machinery and facilities laws and regulations, i.e, Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia, TNB, Bomba, Machinery Department, DOE, JBA, DOSH, etc.
- Responsible for the supervision, guidance and engagement of the maintenance team.
- Train and lead others to perform preventive maintenance functions and standards and minimize the services of outside contractors.
- Assist and coordinate service provided by external contractors to service and maintain for air conditioning firefighting system, cooling tower, water pump, and vacuum pump whenever necessary.
- Assure and inspect electrical facilities to ensure they are effective and safe. Regular inspection of vacuum circuit breaker/Air circuit breaker. Transformer oil level, temperature, and gas level checking and keeping substation clean
- Assure and inspect machines or equipment conditions daily to ensure they are effective and safe. Prompt action is taken to repair machinery/replace parts.
- Responsible for troubleshooting electrical faults or problems, repairing, servicing, maintenance and installation
- Assure air compressor condition daily and be in charge of its maintenance
- Work closely with the production department to achieve department goals, minimize machine downtime, smooth operations and improve cost efficiency.
- Assist with project management of all related building changes and expansions, including modification/ improvements to the building system
- Maintain accurate records regarding routine inspection and preventive maintenance of all mechanical equipment, machines, facilities and daily work/project logs
- Prepare monthly report on electrical status
- Conduct auditing including Safety/ISO Internal Audit
- Participate in budget preparation
- Any other responsibility maybe assign by the immediate superior occasionally
Key Requirements
- Preferable chargeman B0 or chargeman A4 and degree in electrical certification
- At least 3 years experience in related field
- Managing manpower
- Able to manage vendor/supplier
- Good in time management
- Good in communication skills
- Strong knowledge in Electrical system
