JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Analysis:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify key drivers and trends.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain accurate and realistic budgets.
- Support the forecasting process to help predict financial outcomes.
- Investment Portfolio Management:
- Monitor and analyze the company's investment portfolio, assessing performance and risks.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on investment holdings, returns, and market trends.
- Collaborate with investment managers to optimize portfolio performance.
- Cash Flow Analysis:
- Manage and analyze the company's cash flow, ensuring liquidity and efficient use of funds.
- Forecast cash needs and recommend strategies to optimize cash utilization.
- Monitor and analyze trends in cash flow, identifying areas for improvement.
- Coordinate with banking partners to address any issues and optimize banking relationships.
- Compliance and Reporting and Audit Support:
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Financial Document Handling:
- Ensure accurate and organized documentation of financial transactions.
- Maintain a systematic filing system for investment-related documents and banking records.
- Prepare and review financial reports and statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with the finance manager and other team members on various projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Min of 5 years experience in finance role or min of 3 years as assistant finance manager
- Preferable from Construction industry
- Proficient in Chinese, English and Malay
- Proficient in SQL and Excel
- Strong analytical skill
- Strong understanding of investment strategies, financial markets and banking operation
