Job Responsibilities:
- Secure new customers, service existing customers, attend to customer’s request & ensure customer’s satisfaction.
- Prepare quotations pertaining to Airfreight, Sea freight, Trucking, Warehousing, etc according to customer’s requirement.
- Sent sales leads to overseas group offices and agents to generate additional businesses overseas.
- Secure R/O-Import and prepare S/I for all nominated inbound shipments for both air and ocean.
- Correspond and communicate with overseas group offices and agents via e-mail, telephone and fax pertaining to sales inquiries and information feedback on rates and shipment status.
- Requisition and negotiation of rates from Airlines, Shipping Lines, co-loaders and NVOCC.
- Co-ordinate and provide seamless information feedback to/from our customer service and operation staff on any special arrangement requested by/offered to customers to ensure smooth and excellent service.
- Market feedback.
- Close follow-ups and securing of debtor's payment & to submit Credit Application to Branch Manager for each new customer secured when term is requested.
- To raise Sales Reports and write up profile of every new prospective customer visited. Every month to submit Monthly Sales Report.
- Plan for quarterly sales visit to the Northern and Southern region of Penang Sales Territory.
Job Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma or equivalent qualifications with minimum 2 years marketing experience in the forwarding industry preferably have good contacts with Airlines and Shipping Lines.
- Must be computer literate (Words, Excel, PowerPoint) with good communication skill.
- Ability to write and converse well in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Good general knowledge and some basic knowledge in customs procedures and international business.
