Commodity Manager
A world-leading medical products and solutions company in Kedah is looking for professional with experience in commodity and supplier management as part of their procurement team.
You will be the key person in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned commodities to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct market analysis and research to understand commodity trends, pricing dynamics, and supplier capabilities.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish terms and conditions to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand commodity requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor commodity markets, industry developments, and regulatory changes to anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance evaluations, issue resolution, and supplier development initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and sustainability within the supply chain.
- Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities, contracts, and supplier information in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of sourcing or commodity management
- Negotiation and business management skills
- Analytical and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
- Strong communication skills especially in English
