Company Overview: 
A client from manufacturing industry is looking for a Finance Manager for their regional office based in Shah Alam. 
 
Key Requirement of a Finance Manager: 
 
The key role of this position is to be responsible for overall Accounts and Finance Department goals and objectives. To manage daily operations of the department and advice management on finance and accounting related decisions.
 
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
o monthly and end-year process
o accounts payable/receivable
o cash receipts.
o general ledger
o payroll and utilities
o treasury, budgeting
o cash forecasting
o revenue and expenditure variance analysis
o capital assets reconciliations
o trust account statement reconciliations.
o check runs
o fixed asset activity
o debt activity
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
• Review financial documents for submission to Management and HQ in Japan
• Ensure monthly reports are timely and accurate
• Review monthly salary payment disbursement and other payables
• Review and finalize cash flow planning and make financing proposals as required
• Monitor and ensure the continuation of accounting outsourcing project (from Regional HQ 
Singapore) and support South-East Asia regional Accounting and Finance activities and projects
• Meet financial accounting objectives
• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
• Coordinate and complete annual audits and yearly tax computation
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Provide recommendations Management regarding important asset handling, business budget, organization's financial position etc.
• Assign projects and direct staff to ensure accuracy and compliance to Internal Control, Corporate Accounting Regulations, ISO 9001 and 14001 requirements, as applicable
• Coordinate BOD and AGM meetings and relevant documentation compilation.
• Manage the Accounting software.
• Coordinate with Company Secretary in line with Company Act requirements.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Degree in Accounting / Finance
• Working experience as Accounting or Finance Manager
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
• Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to direct and supervise
• Fluent in English.
• Proficiency in Japanese language will be an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate constructively
• A highly responsible individual who has a passion to learn and is able to work independently
