We're looking for a skilled & experienced Logistic cum Procurement Executive to join our client in the metal fabrication industry based in Klang. You'll be in charge of managing procurement, logistics, inventory, and supply chain processes. This role needs someone with good negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors based on quality, price, and delivery capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Monitor market trends and developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.

Logistics Management: (priority)
  • Coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including shipment scheduling, freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
  • Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards for transportation and warehousing.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
  • Manage warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage, and distribution.

Inventory Control: (priority)
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure adequate stock levels to meet demand.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.

Supply Chain Optimization: (priority)
  • Analyze supply chain processes and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement best practices and tools to streamline procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement supply chain initiatives and projects.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations, logistics operations, and supply chain best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory and procurement data.
