A leader in cutting-edge equipment control systems and automation innovation, specializing in developing high-performance solutions for complex industrial applications are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage all aspects of automation and equipment manufacturing projects. This role involves overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of projects, including developing and sharing initial sales and technical proposals.

  • Acknowledge customer purchase orders and ensure adherence to project terms.

  • Design databases and build software architecture for project-related software solutions.

  • Coordinate project phase gate reviews and internal/external kick-off meetings.

  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers, providing regular project status updates.

  • Conduct regular project meetings with internal teams and customers, documenting and distributing meeting minutes, action items, and decisions.

  • Track and coordinate design and build development activities.

  • Forecast human and material resources required for successful project completion.

  • Identify potential risks, define problems, and implement effective solutions proactively.

  • Create and distribute standard project management deliverables, including:

    • Daily status updates

    • Task lists, action items, issues, risks, and decisions

    • Resource plans

    • Weekly dashboards

  • Track all contract changes with written notifications and maintain revision summaries.

  • Conduct project closeout meetings to capture lessons learned and improvement opportunities.

  • National and international travel may be required.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

  • Minimum 8 years of project management experience in automation or equipment manufacturing environments.

  • Relevant experience in technical fields such as AMHS, ASRS, or system integration preferred.

  • Project management certification (PMI/CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable but not mandatory.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple project factors simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Proficiency in project management software and IT tools, including planning, scheduling, resource management, scope management, and risk management.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project.

  • Highly organized with strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workloads.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the project life cycle: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring/Controlling, and Closing.
