    RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluated, compared and negotiated at the best price from the selected supplier.
  • Attained quotations from the supplier with the correct requirements from internal customers.
  • Recommended on the best deal that are aligned with the project needs and requirements.
  • Maintained at the most optimum budget for each of the project handled.
  • Scheduled proper requisitions to ensure that the delivery time of the materials is within the stipulated time.
  • Coordinated with the freight forwarders such as TNT, F-Dex, and DHL for the custom release process.
  • Inspected the materials to ensure that there is no defected materials by refer to the Auto-Cad drawing and purchase order.
  • Suggested to supplier to consolidate for the ready shipment in one delivery schedule where possible to reduce the company shipping cost by at least 5%.
  • Responded to over 10 customer calls daily and clarified the status of their shipments and any problems that aroused.
  • Established in sourcing for local and foreign suppliers should the appointed suppliers can't meet the organization requirements.
  • Maintained a record of all outstanding purchase orders with external vendors.
  • Arranged transportation and forwarding services for all orders to ensure material is delivered as per schedule.
  • Managed for all duty customs sales and tax functions, including certification and verification, and compliance with government agencies.
 
REQUIREMENTS
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, supply chain management, or any related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Experience working with suppliers from China is a plus
  • Knowledge of customs regulations and import/export laws in Malaysia
  • Familiarity with software Auto-Cad
  • Ability to manage a team and work collaboratively with cross-functional departments
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and proficiency in Chinese is added advantage
