Job Responsibilities
Local Responsibilities (Singapore & Malaysia)
- Accurately input financial data into the accounting system in a timely manner.
- Verify and monitor Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and bank transactions.
- Prepare submissions for direct and indirect taxes, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), GST, WHT, stamp duty, and other statutory requirements.
- Generate financial data and assist in preparing draft financial reports.
- Provide support in resolving financial data inquiries.
- Manage inventory accounting and perform regular reconciliations.
- Handle AR, AP, month-end closing, and prepare a full set of management accounts.
- Prepare monthly cash flow reports.
- Offer guidance and support to team members when required.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements, including e‑Invoicing / InvoiceNow.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks and reporting as assigned by the superior.
Regional Responsibilities
- Support the enhancement of accounting systems, workflows, and processes to improve efficiency and business performance.
- Provide training and guidance to employees across the region to ensure proper understanding and adoption of financial and accounting procedures.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems, particularly Xero.
- Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Audit, or Finance.
- Capable of managing a full set of management accounts independently.
- Solid understanding of tax concepts such as CIT, GST, WHT, and stamp duty.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of MPERS and IFRS standards.
- Professional accounting certifications are an added advantage.
