Job Responsibilities:
- Undertaking the maintenance, patching, tuning, and upgrading of existing systems as required.
- Troubleshooting technical issues to ensure smooth system functionality.
- Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project Leads, and the IT team to resolve issues and ensure viable and consistent solutions.
- Conducting requirement and justification studies.
- Acting as a liaison between onshore and offshore teams.
- Reviewing design documents and source codes for quality assurance.
- Preparing system guides and manuals for organizational use.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in system analysis, design, and programming.
- Hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development using technologies such as VueJS, ExtJS, JQuery, Javascript, Java, Spring/Spring Boot, MyBatis, Redis, Containers (Docker), REST API, and MQ.
- Proficiency in relational databases such as DB2, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with reporting tools like Jasper.
- Strong SQL development skills with expertise in performance optimization/tuning.
- Experience in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and spoken Chinese for effective communication with onshore and offshore teams in China.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
- Additional advantageous skills include domain knowledge in the supply chain business, administration experience in WebSphere and DB2, proficiency in VBA (Visual Basic for Application in Microsoft Excel), familiarity with administration/development in AWS cloud computing, and the ability to speak and write Japanese.
