Our client is a Malaysia-based private limited company incorporated in 1990 that operates as an importer, wholesaler, and distributor of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Food & Beverages, and household products. The company also acts as a retailer, specializing in convenience stores and general grocery items.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis and generate market category development trend insights,
- Channel category performance analysis, identifying gaps, and finding growth opportunities in conjunction with regional conditions.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of major competitors in relevant channels for the product category, including their inventory, pricing, and display, providing reference for the operating units' competitive strategies.
- Through insight analysis, supplier and operating unit practical research, output category growth feasibility reports, and submit them to the operating units for project initiation.
- Form methodologies and models to improve overall category operation capabilities.
Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in product category or purchasing in similar industries
- In-depth understanding of the convenience store industry or related retail industries, familiar with industry market dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Possess strong data analysis capabilities, able to process and analyze large amounts of market data, extracting valuable information and insights.
- Strong communication skills and a strong team spirit, capable of effectively communicating with personnel from different departments and promoting cross-departmental collaboration.
- Clear thinking, strong verbal communication skills, and strong summarizing abilities. A team player who can share, learn, and grow with team members.
