We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Down Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Cost Down Engineer will be responsible for identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality and performance. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze manufacturing processes, materials, and product designs to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Job Descriptions
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through analysis of production processes, materials, and product designs
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs
- Collaborate with the procurement team to identify cost-effective suppliers and negotiate better terms and prices for materials and components
- Conduct value engineering analyses to ensure that products are manufactured at the lowest possible cost while maintaining quality and functionality
- Perform benchmarking studies to compare costs with industry standards and identify best practices
- Ensure all cost reduction activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Years of experience in cost reduction, process improvement, or a related engineering role
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Proficiency in cost analysis tools and methodologies
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus
- Experience with CAD software and product design tools is advantageous
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supply chain management
