OUR CLIENT:
A well-established property developer based in Petaling Jaya is hiring talent as a Finance Manager to oversee the financial accounting for Group companies including treasury management, liquidity planning, cash management and funding.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain accurate accounting procedures and systems.
Improve financial systems, policies, processes, and internal control.
Ensure timely and compliant financial reporting (IFRS, Income Tax and Companies Act).
Coordinate business planning, forecasting and budgeting.
Work closely with internal business units and provide financial guidance to internal departments.
Lead, coach and supervise subordinates to ensure timely completion of various group companies financials for statutory, regulators and Board reporting.
Liaise with external stakeholders like auditors, bankers, tax agents etc.
Undertake regular reviews of groups’ accounting functions, processes and operations to champion and recommend digitalization and workflow optimization efforts.
Support management with ad-hoc tasks.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess a Recognized Degree or Professional qualification in accounting and be a member of MIA.
Experience in property development/construction/building industry preferred.
Conversant with the latest Financial Reporting Standards.
Able to work under pressures and meet reporting deadlines.
A positive and pro-active attitude coupled with a high degree of integrity, maturity, and strong interpersonal skills will better support success in this role.
Knowledge of IFCA/ACCWIN accounting software is an advantage.
