A rapidly growing shared service industry company located in Kuala Lumpur is looking for a career minded talent with Japanese speaking skills in general ledger accounting. You will be a key part of helping the business in delivering the general ledger activities, supporting Japan market.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for recording all general ledger transactions, encompassing accruals, payroll, and monthly closing tasks.
- In charge of managing intercompany financials, including monthly service level agreement (SLA) and intercompany expense adjustments. Reconcile differences in intercompany balance sheets and income statements promptly with corresponding parties.
- Execute bank transaction postings and create month-end bank reconciliations punctually.
- Generate timely analyses and reconciliations of the balance sheet.
- Handle the fixed asset ledger and asset accounting responsibilities, such as proper recording of capitalizations, disposals, or transfers. Adhere to group policies and guidelines, especially when managing a large volume of assets or more intricate asset processes.
- Review Goods Received/Invoice Received (GRIR) and guarantee timely resolution, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to gather missing data as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury, and local Finance teams, particularly during month-end closing procedures.
- Participate in projects related to general ledger migration and other process improvements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Business level Japanese and English language skills are vital for external communication and translation (handling customers from Japan)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting in shared service environment.
- Must have previous experience in SAP system
