JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzes product to develop tools or machine to meet specifications and performance requirements.
- Determines feasibility of tool concepts considering, costs, floor space, time limitations, quote parameters and other technical and economic factors.
- Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or process techniques.
- Prepares or directs preparation of tool and system layouts and detailed drawings and schematics.
- Complies and analyzes operational test and research data to establish performance standards for equipment.
- Responsible for design and documentation of tooling AIS standards and mentoring design and drafts on proper methodology and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics Engineering or equivalent; 10-15 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Solid knowledge of machine automation preferably in the connector industry.
- Solid knowledge of the latest manufacturing techniques used in fabricating tooling.
- Knowledge of Quality Control principles and methodology is an asset.
