Job Descriptions
- Conduct the detailed thermal assessment by calculation and simulation analysis to ensure optimal thermal solution implemented
- Deliver comprehensive thermal proposal for RFQ technical response and present thermal proposal to customers
- Work closely with vendors to develop cost-efficient solution to meet performance and cost target
- Provide and implement power-saving fan speed control strategy
- Participate in thermal technology R&D
- Provide innovative solutions to resolve thermal challenges and issues
- Establish and improve thermal process and guidelines
Job Requirements
- Minimum 8 years experience in thermal design/simulation/test validation for data center IT equipments
- Strong user of Flotherm as CFD analysis tool is a plus
- Expertise in various heat sinks, heat pipe, Vapor chamber design/selection, and Air mover
- TIM selection, liquid cooling or other advanced cooling technology experience is a plus
- Expertise in various fan speed control methodology and over-temperature protection mechanism
- Familiar with thermal measurement technology and test tools such as temperature data logger, IR camera, wind tunnel, air speed meter etc.
- Familiar with Mechanical design tool such as Creo for 3D model check, tolerance analysis methodology for heat sink retention design is a plus
- Familiar with industry standard including NEBS, GR-63, ASHRAE, MSA,etc
