Accountant (Full Set of Accounts)

COMPANY OVERVIEW
A multinational manufacturing company located in Bandar Sunway is looking for a skilled and experience candidate in full sets of accounting with the experience in leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the general ledger, and collaborating with the commercial finance team and the shared service team, and managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages the execution of operational Record-to-Report (R2R) services as per the agreed service delivery terms, collaborating closely with the P2P and O2C teams as well as the local legal entity Controller.
• Tasks include overseeing asset and general ledger accounting, conducting period-end closing tasks such as balance sheet preparation and reconciliation, reviewing staff claims and inter-company payments facilitated by the P2P team, generating tax and government reports as needed, assisting with external audits, aiding in the transfer of activities to the Global Business Services (GBS), ensuring process documentation remains current, and supporting the onboarding process for new employees.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Qualifications include a degree in Accounting or ACCA certification, coupled with a minimum of five years' experience as an Accountant managing complete sets of accounts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is essential, alongside a robust understanding of IFRS principles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing the SAP FI system for journal entry and month-end reporting functions is required.
