Job Responsibilities:
- Providing consulting and advisory services for technical inquiries, encompassing IFRS technicalities, ISA-related requirements from external auditors, and other financial reporting/compliance concerns. Delivering high-quality, timely outputs to ensure Micron's compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Supporting continuous learning and improvement through the design and facilitation of technical training or workshops for accountants. This may involve corporate reporting updates, refresher training on key financial reporting matters, and insights on accounting in a complex business environment.
- Developing, monitoring, and updating company's IFRS accounting policies in alignment with new standards and amendments. Collaborating with finance, functional teams, and business unit leaders to collectively develop or amend policies.
- Participating in projects to support broader global Finance transformation initiatives, even beyond compliance and technical aspects.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA or equivalent).
- Over 10 years of experience in a global organization, with external auditor experience being an added advantage.
- Ability to work effectively across organizations and geographies, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
- Strong technical accounting skills and extensive knowledge and practical experience with IFRS, Local GAAP, Accounting & Statutory Audit processes, and diverse requirements across international jurisdictions, along with understanding of US GAAP Accounting.
- Results-oriented with interpersonal skills.
- Excellent critical thinking abilities and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Proficiency in financial systems, including SAP, Local GAAP & Reporting systems (e.g., Workiva), is advantageous.
